Two of Metrovation’s San Francisco office buildings are within the South of Market (SoMa) area in superior locations which offer multiple opportunities.

The SoMa district connects downtown San Francisco to UCSF Mission Bay. It is a huge district which spans the blocks from the San Francisco Ferry Building on the Embarcadero to the Giants' ball park; to Eleventh Street below the Design Center to the Civic Center. Formerly the City’s industrial area, SoMa began to evolve in the early 1970’s with the development of the Moscone Convention Center at Third and Mission.

Now vibrant and eclectic because of the patchwork of converted warehouses, nightclubs, art spaces, lofts, and hip restaurants, SoMa has recently become one of San Francisco’s liveliest districts. The area’s daytime office, design and retail population creates activity almost around the clock.

At 650 -690 Fifth Street in San Francisco, the area is building all around us. Our property is across from the Caltrain station connecting San Francisco to Silicon Valley. AT&T Park and the rapidly expanding loft and retail district are a short walk up Townsend Street from our project. Our plans for this property include Hotel SOMA on the corner of Fifth and Townsend, now in the design and planning stage.

 

601-609 Mission St | San Francisco, CA

609 Mission Street is at the center of the south Financial District at Second and Mission, where downtown San Francisco meshes with the City’s arts district. Our building is a short walk from SFMOMA - San Francisco’s Museum of Modern Art, the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the California Historical Society and the Academy of Art.
