In 1987 we identified the present site of The Grove at Shrewsbury as the best place for upscale retail in Central New Jersey.

At the time, most national retailers were located in regional malls. In fact, the largest regional indoor mall was within three miles of our site. However, our innovative concept attracted top stores to The Grove’s outdoor streetscape setting, and thereby began the successful history of the center. Since inception, each year has surpassed the last in sales per square foot.

The Grove at Shrewsbury’s location on Route 35 provides easy direct access to and from the Garden State Parkway and the key arterial roads that lead to the surrounding affluent communities of Rumson, Fair Haven, Little Silver, and Middletown. Out of the total current trade area of over 601,000, 30% live within a ten minute drive of The Grove.
